St. Mary's Medical Center - Website
You may be thinking that this belongs in the "Websites" section, but truth be told this was a very ambitious project.
St. Mary's is a health system encompassing numerous health facilities throughout the Tri-State area. A member of Ascension Health, the nation's largest Catholic-sponsored, not-for-profit health system, St. Mary's is one of the largest employers in Southern Indiana . |
Funded through a $99,000 Sponsored Programs Grant, this project was a bit more sophisticated than your average website. Serving as Co-PI with Professor Ron Glotzbach, we employed a team of 4 developers, 1 organizational manager, and 1 usability consultant to help create this site which took just under six months. We also employed a team of 12 quality assurance testers who helped us find and correct over 1200 bugs *ugh*.
The site was developed with ASP and SQL Server, and uses a little Flash here and there. Features of the site include integrated health content, search functionality, dynamic content, a revamped design, scheduling calendar, updatable feature stories and health headlines, "find a job" and "find a physician" features, text size changer, and an adminstrative portal that allows hospital staff to easily make content changes. |

Multiview Drawing Instructional Application
Co-developed with Purdue University Associate Professor Patrick Connolly and funded through a $ 16,416 ITaP Digital Content Grants Program Grant, the Web-Based Multiview Drawing Multimedia Application, is designed to teach students the fundamentals of multiview drawing.
Students can virtually draw multiple views of three dimensional objects, which the application can instantly evaluate. |
By comparing drawn coordinates to correct "answer" coordinates stored in a database, the program provides real-time feedback on the task of multiview drawing. The newest version includes an administrative section that allows educators to add new 3D objects to workspaces, thus creating a virtual library of objects to choose from when creating new tests and quizzes. |

The Pizza Explorer
OK, ok...I'm not trying to get two for the price of one here. I know I've already talked about this project in the "animations" portion of my website, but to be fair the project was really much larger than the animation involved.
Again, TPE was created as an educational multimedia application designed to teach K-12 students food chemistry. |
Funded through a Department of Health and Human Services Grant, thousands of copies of the CD have been distributed by the Institute of Food Technologists.
The project consisted of 4-man development team supervised by yours truly and was developed with Flash, Director, and 3D Studio Max. |
